Signing a memorandum of understanding between Misr Italia Properties and Honeywell in Support of Digital Transformation
Misr Italia Properties signed a memorandum of understanding with Honeywell, leveraging the company’s experience in smart solutions for established and under construction projects. The collaboration came in light of Misr Italia Properties’ strategy towards digital transformation through developing a smart and sustainable lifestyle to serve its clients.
The conference was attended by Mr. Keith Kirkham, Regional Minister Counselor for Commercial Affairs at the US Embassy in Cairo, Eng. Ghada Labib, the Deputy Minister for Institutional Development at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Eng. Mohamed Hany El-Assal, CEO and Managing Director of MIP, and Eng. Mohamed Khaled El-Assal, CEO and Managing Director of MIP, Doctor Engineer Khaled Hashem, President for Egypt and North Africa Honeywell, and Mr. David Chi, Executive Vice President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Cairo.
The MOU between Misr Italia Properties and Honeywell states the establishment of various projects that provide a smart lifestyle through the latest digital solutions, including Honeywell’s package for city solutions, and Honeywell forge program, which is an enterprise performance management solution. The Memorandum of Understanding focuses on merging these solutions in the projects implemented by the company through a unified platform, which guarantees transparency and control. Moreover, Honeywell will deploy advanced city surveillance systems (CCTV) for improved emergency response and access control; sustainable and energy-efficient technologies for energy optimization as well as smart irrigation, smart street lighting, water management and smart parking.
Engineer Ghada Labib, Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technology for Institutional Development, praised the partnership between Misr Italia Properties and Honeywell International, which highlights the importance of integration between different sectors to provide smart services in alignment with Egypt 2030 vision. She added ‘”Digital Egypt” strategy is built on three main planks, including Digital Transformation, Digital Skills and Jobs and Digital Innovation based on an efficient information infrastructure and a strengthened legislative framework.
Engineer Mohamed Hany El-Assal, CEO and Managing Director of MIP, expressed his joy with this new partnership, which will maintain the current and future client’s trust in the company through proactively responding to their needs aiming to provide an integrated advanced system across all MIP projects located in the New Administrative Capital and New Cairo, particularly Cairo Business Park and IL BOSCO City. We aspire to contribute to the actualization of Egypt 2030 vision and the UNSDGs through implementing smart city solutions; advanced security technologies and optimal energy efficiency techniques among which.
Engineer Mohamed Khaled El-Assal, CEO and Managing Director of Misr Italia Properties, added that the smart services that Honeywell will deploy across all MIP residential, commercial and administrative projects, prove MIP’s infrastructural strength for accommodating all these technological advancements. One of the most prominent systems that Honeywell will deploy is the Command-and-Control System at Cairo Business Park, which will play a vital role in rationalization of electricity consumption with significant improvement in managing electricity emergencies. Moreover, the project offers integrated meeting rooms equipped with the latest technologies to facilitate and accelerate communication between employees to increase work efficiency.
