Masters of Dirt Show kicks Off in Makadi Heights in The Red Sea
Masters of Dirt, the world’s wildest freestyle motocross show, kicked off today for the first time in Egypt and North Africa, in Makadi Heights; one of Orascom Development’s integrated towns in the Red Sea. The show is held under the patronage of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Board, the Red Sea Governorate, the Egyptian Automobile Club, and is organized by JWT Experience; the leading event organizer in Egypt.
Hosting “Masters of Dirt” in Makadi Heights is made possible thanks to its good climate, its suitable infrastructure and outstanding services and facilities. With these characteristics, Makadi Heights is an integrated town in the heart of Makadi Bay ready to host local and international events all year round and especially during the holiday season. Furthermore, such events are expected to boost the overall economy of the Red Sea Governorate.
With around 3,000 spectators expected to attend the two shows happening over a period of two days, Makadi Heights took the initiative to invite a lovely group from “Qaderoun Bekhtlaf” “Differently Abled” in partnership with the Egyptian Sports Federation for Intellectual Disabilities. The group is led by Amal Mobada, President of the Egyptian Sports Federation for Intellectual Disabilities to ensure their comfort and get the chance to enjoy the show, and have some fun at Makadi Heights. This is only a small part of the company’s role in trying to support the differently abled and achieve social integration.
For his part, Governor of the Red Sea Governorate, Major General Amr Hanafi, has confirmed that Egypt’s hosting of the world’s wildest freestyle motocross show, “Masters of Dirt”, for the first time after the pandemic, is a testament to the success of the country’s efforts in hosting various international events. He also pointed out that holding this global show in Makadi Heights, proves that we have restored the city’s position on the global map; especially with hosting major international events over the past two years.
Furthermore, he referred to the Iron Man Championship; that was held in Hurghada, last November, and was organized by the International Iron Man Foundation, under the auspices of Red Sea Governorate, and the Ministry of Youth and Sports. He said, “It is considered as one of the strongest international championships in the field of swimming, cycling, and jogging; with the participation of contestants of different nationalities.”
Major General Hanafi, also commented on the great support endorsed by the Egyptian government, presented by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, to hold major sports events in various governorates in general, and specifically in Hurghada. With the objective of supporting tourism, and utilizing the desirable climate of the Red Sea Governorate, in order to attract guests from all over the world. Moreover, he stressed on the country’s professional implementation of all the activities, and its application of all the precautionary measures; to protect the tourists and maintain their safety, in hope to achieve a positive outcome for Egypt’s tourism.

It is worth noting that the Masters of Dirt show in Makadi Heights will cover two shows; the first one taking place on Thursday, and the other one will proceed on Friday. Moreover, this event was previously held in more than 20 countries, with a total of 250 shows, and 1.1 million live views.
On another note, Makadi Heights is also preparing to host an international music festival in May 2022, with international performers, to further support the economic, artistic and social development in the Red Sea Governorate.
